They finished high school and learned much of the craft through family and community mentors. They raised two children and enjoyed being an involved grandparent later in life. Francis O’Neil worked as a farmer, tending a small mixed farm through changing seasons. They enjoyed fishing, birdwatching, and quiet weekends outdoors.
